Hiking!

 

 

Hiked up 동봉 this weekend with Keir, Emily and Deva.  Went past a few temples, hiked down along a relatively unused path which seemed half log bridges and rope abseils.  Enjoy a video of Deva crossing one of the wobbly bridges.  Saw a couple giant buddhas carved into rock, interesting mushrooms and of course amazing views over the mountains.  Kier did some Geocaching.

Korea Burn

So, the whole Mark thing has been over for a while now.
About time, long, dull story, he's a jerk.  In more interesting news, I went along to Korea Burn, (site 1, site 2) it billed itself as a tiny version of Burning Man.  I've not been to any of the other ones (and could only make it for Saturday/Sunday this time).  Got out really hungover from Busan Friday night after Jess' birthday bash, just going to tell you the best bits of the Korea Burn:


Bacon for Poetry tent, Poi and Hoola Hoops, Truth and Beauty Bombs, "Flour fight" - actually a bunch of people throwing spices at each other, delicious fun!  Face Painting - I brought along some face and body paints (having never done anything before), sat down and had a drunk girl immediately demand a giraffe.  On her bare chest of course.  Left Craig to paint the ladies.  Fire Poi/Performers and Bonfire - met a nice boy by the fire, went swimming around 4am (it was freezing)
